About this guide

This guide will help you with:

  • Studying online - using the technology (including Canvas / Blackboard), and staying connected.
  • Your assignment research - this guide provides links to key databases and other useful assignment resources - see the 'Subject Resources' pages.
  • Getting further help - find links to workshops, and information about referencing and assignment support.

5 things to get you started...

On-campus assignment support is available to all Business and Law students (drop in, no appointment needed):

Online (MS Teams) / face-to-face / phone appointments:  You can book a 30-minute appointment with a Librarian and/or a Learning Adviser - ensure you have your Unit Plan, any other assignment instructions, and your specific queries ready:


  • Academic Skills Workshops covering Researching for your Assignment and Referencing (APA / AGLC4). 
    These will be held on campus and online.
  • Peer Assistants - just-in-time assistance when you need to know what to do, or where to click, in order to solve any online learning issues as they arise and let you get on with your work.

     Digital Essentials

  • VEEPS: Virtual Peer Support for online learning - just-in-time assistance when you need to know what to do, or where to click, to solve online learning issues and get on with your work.
