Subject Librarians assist teaching staff and students in making the best use of the library and information resources for teaching and learning needs and have created Library Guides for each subject area.

Library Technicians are staff who assist students and university staff face to face, by telephone and online.

Library Peer Assistants are current ECU students who have been trained to assist with general Library services and learning technology enquiries.
Library Peer Assistants provide support with:

Turnitin
Panopto
PebblePad
Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
and other university technologies
locating and retrieving Library online and print resources
navigating Library Guides and Library Databases
assisting with printing, scanning, and photocopying
guiding to appropriate help and resources within the campus
You can find our Peer Assistants at the Library service desk every day during semester, including outside our core business hours. NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED!
They are also available to support you via Team Chat and telephone. The Peer Support page has more information about service times and locations.
