This guide will help you with:

  • Studying online - using the technology (including Canvas / Blackboard), and staying connected.
  • Your assignment research - this guide provides links to key databases and other useful assignment resources - see the 'Subject Resources' pages.
  • Getting further help - find links to workshops, and information about referencing and assignment support.

Online and on-campus workshops, covering a range of study and assignment skills:

On-campus 'drop-in' assignment support is available to all Business and Law students (no appointment needed):

Online (MS Teams) and face-to-face appointments:  You can book a 30-minute appointment with a Librarian and/or a Learning Adviser - ensure you have your Unit Plan, any assignment instructions, and your specific questions ready:


  • Peer Assistants - just-in-time assistance when you need to know what to do, or where to click, in order to solve any online learning issues as they arise and let you get on with your work.

     Digital Essentials

  • Peer Support for learning - just-in-time assistance when you need to know what to do, or where to click, to solve online learning issues and get on with your work.
