If you use generative AI tools during your studies at ECU, you are responsible for acting with integrity and in accordance with ECU's Academic Integrity policy,

Acknowledging your use of GenAI

If you use any gen AI tools, include an acknowledgement as a written statement at the end of your assignment, above your reference list.

Be as specific as possible, and always include:

  1. Which tools you used (and the version number).
  2. How you used the tools.

Follow this format:

I acknowledge the use of [Gen AI program] (version) [how you specifically used it in your assignment].

Example acknowledgements of use:

I acknowledge the use of Copilot (Enterprise version) to brainstorm ideas.

I used Grammarly (free version) to review and edit my written language structure.​
