The Fellowship of Australian Writers WA was founded in 1938 to support West Australian writers and promote Australian literature and its creators. Situated at Tom Collins House and Mattie Furphy House in the Allen Park precinct of Swanbourne, FAWWA continues to operate as a well-respected, not-for-profit writers’ centre for the Perth metropolitan area (and regional WA too!).

KSP Writers Centre welcomes the public to join the range of writers groups they offer, catering to writers of all ages, levels of experience and interests. They are always happy to welcome new writers into the fold and their groups offer a great opportunity to develop skills and meet writers with similar interests.

The Literature Centre (formerly Fremantle Children’s Literature Centre) is unique – a place to nurture young people’s interest in reading and writing, using innovative techniques to explore and interpret literature. Uniquely located within the walls of the Old Fremantle Prison, it is the only centre of its kind in Australia.

The Peter Cowan Writing Centre is in its 22nd year of providing an ongoing source of support and development for emerging and established creative writers within the northern suburbs of Perth. It has continued to grow and offer a range of writing opportunities for its membership and the wider writing community.

Rockingham Arts Centre has groups for writers at different levels of expertise and also organises regular networking meetings, guest speakers, workshops and events to promote and sell members' books.
