Finding Screenplays & Scripts

A screenplay or script is the written blueprint that forms the basis for a film, video, video game, documentary or television production (teleplay). Screenplays can be an original work or adaptation and be based on a novel, play or media article. The screenplay documents the narrative, dialogue, acting and performance practices of characters and supports the interpretation of the screen writers intention from page into production.

There are several ways to find a screen play.

  1. If you know the title of the screenplay you are looking for, type the details into the ECU library search
  2. If you would like to browse the screenplay collection you can use the dewey number search and enter in 791.437  for a complete listing, or you can physically browse the library collection at this shelf number.
