In Western Australia:
ECU students and staff can join Curtin, Murdoch, Notre Dame and UWA libraries by registering online with the Western Australian Group of University Librarians (WAGUL) for reciprocal borrowing.
Please ensure you register before you go to their library and you take your ECU ID card with you.
Online registrations are processed Monday to Friday and may take up to 48 hours for your registration to be active. If you need immediate registration please register in person at the library you wish to borrow from. When using another university library you must follow their borrowing rules.
Participating libraries of ULANZ allow staff and students of Australian and New Zealand universities* to borrow in person from any other participating university library. The scheme is a cooperative arrangement between CAUL (Council of Australian University Librarians) and CONZUL (Council of New Zealand University Librarians).
*The University of Auckland is not participating in this scheme
ECU WorldSearch can search across the catalogues of libraries world-wide.
Portals tend to be smaller and cater to a more specific audience, these can be helpful if you are looking for specific data. Directories usually contain a wider variety of research outputs from a variety of disciplines, or they may aggregate smaller portals or repositories.
The Library facilitates a range of workshops specifically designed to assist research staff and higher degree by research students. All of the Library Research Services workshops are currently being offered in online format due to concerns around COVID-19. Please view our updated workshop page below.
