You can place a request on up to 30 items. When the item is available to collect you will be notified by email. Main collection items will be available to collect for 5 days. Laptops and Dongles need to be collected within 24hrs. Check your hold notification email for the last date you can pick up your items. If the item is not collected it will be returned to the shelf.
Main Collection: When you borrow Library items, they are issued with a due date. This is so that other people have a chance to borrow these items as well. If no-one requests an item that you have borrowed it can be renewed up to five times. You may borrow the item again after this period of time, if there are no requests. Overdue items will prevent you from borrowing anything else, until the item is returned. It will also prevent your other loan items from renewing. Late items will become ‘long overdue’ after 10 days and an encumbrance will be placed on your record, restricting your access and preventing you from further borrowing. This system is to provide fair and equitable access to library items. If you have any queries please talk to library staff who can assist.
High Use Collection: Fines are $10 per hour (or part thereof), capped at $100.
If an item is damaged or lost you will be billed a replacement cost plus a $20 processing charge.
