Edith Cowan University, as part of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) Consortium has signed Read & Publish Agreements commencing 2022. The agreements provide opportunity for ECU authors to publish via Open Access on acceptance, and free of any transactional Article Processing Charges (APCs).

The 2022 Read and Publish Agreement with Cambridge University Press will allow ECU authors to publish an uncapped number of articles in the majority of their 400 peer-reviewed academic journals.
Information for Authors
Corresponding authors of ECU may publish open access once the article has been accepted, with no transactional article processing charge (APC).
Follow the normal submission process with Cambridge and on acceptance the APC will be automatically waived (page submission charges and colour charges may still apply).
The Creative Commons licenses allow reuse (some with conditions) while protecting the authors' rights of acknowledgment as authors. Authors retain copyright. Further information about the licences is available on the publisher's website.

Authors Step by Step guide to publishing Open Access in Cambridge journals
The 2022 Read and Publish Agreement with Oxford University Press will allow ECU authors to publish a limited number of articles in the 351 of Oxford's academic journals with no transactional processing charge. Once the allowance is used, authors may choose to publish "closed access" or to pay the article processing charge (APC).

Follow the normal submission process with the journal title, selecting a participating institution as affiliated and using an email address from that institution.
The Creative Commons licenses allow reuse (some with conditions) while protecting the authors' rights of acknowledgment as authors.
