Academic Staff - Reading List: Export the Reading List collection

Export your Reading List Collection

Reading List can be exported into plain text, or into a RIS file, which can be imported into a citation manager such as EndNote.

Plain text file can be used in applications such as Word and Notepad to create reference lists and bibliographies.

A RIS file can be opened in applications such as Endnote.  If you have 2 units with the same Reading List, you can use this RIS file to import your citations into your second unit, rather than adding them manually.   See our guide on adding readings using RIS files.

In your Reading List, click on the Export button at the top right hand side of the screen, as highlighted below

Export to plain text– text bibliography/reference list
Export to RIS - to import into a citation manager or duplicate a reading list for another subject

Save your exported file.  At the Save window, choose where to save your file and rename it if necessary, click OK
