This includes subjects ranging from History and Politics to Public Relations. It is an important source of information for students studying in media related subjects such as Journalism, Broacasting and Media and Cultural Studies.
This guide is designed to show you how to find current event news in a number of media. Information will be provided on how to use library databases to find newspaper articles, news transcripts, as well as television and current affair programs broadcast on television.
The guide will examine databases that are most useful for current events research. This includes eLibrary Australasia and Factiva for newspaper articles and transcripts. It also includes TV News for access to streaming video for programs broadcast on television.
Links are also provided to the websites of some major news providers and RSS feeds of recent news headlines from some of these providers are also provided.
