Vancouver Style

The Vancouver Style is a numbered referencing style, which is often used for publishing in health and medicine.

The Vancouver Style follows rules established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (CMJE), referred to as the ICJME Recommendations, and which were subsequently adapted by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM).

Refer to examples of Vancouver Style in the Citing Medicine guide. This guide was developed by the National Library of Medicine and is the NLM guide for authors, editors and publishers.
